Do I need a subscription?

Yes, an active subscription is needed to use BigBeans and run problem submissions. The good news is you get a FREE 30-day trial subscription the moment you sign up. You also get a sign up bonus of 100 Beans!

What are Beans used for?

Beans are like credits. You need to spend Beans to run problem submissions. The amount of Beans charged for a submission is based on how much compute resources is used and the duration of the execution.

How much do subscriptions cost?

There are 3 pricing options for subscriptions: Basic, Pro, and Premium. You receive Beans every month with your subscription. The amount of Beans you receive depends on the pricing option you choose. You are charged on a monthly basis. See the Pricing page for more details.

How many Beans does it cost to run a problem submission?

Each problem has a maximum execution time. We will not run your submission for longer than this preset duration. Additionally, you can choose the compute resources to use to run your submission. Based on this, we charge a deposit of Beans at the start of your submission. And if your submission finishes before the maximum execution time, we will refund any unused Beans.

My Subscription expired, but I still have Beans remaining in my account. Can I still run submissions?

No, you must have an active subscription to run problem submissions. However, your Beans do not expire for 1 year. So you can simply restart your subscription, and you can use the Beans on your account again.
